When are therapists available for sessions?

What types of therapy services do you provide?
We offer individual, couples, family, and group therapy. Our psychiatric nurse practitioner, Randi Kirk, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC can work with you to determine whether medication may be helpful. Worried about medication side effects? Oasis is the only therapy practice in the area that offers a unique non-chemical treatment cleared by the FDA to treat Anxiety, Depression, and Insomnia! Do you accept and file insurance?
Please keep in mind that in order to use your insurance, we will have to give you a mental health diagnosis that will become part of your permanent medical record. Oasis does accept and will file most insurance plans and offers affordable, sliding fees. Some therapists may not accept all insurance plans. However, most services are usually covered as part of out-of-network benefits. If you would like to access your out-of-network benefits, we can provide you with a Statement for Reimbursement form (also called a Superbill) for you to submit directly to your insurance company for partial reimbursement. Check with your individual provider to determine what plans they accept.
We also accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and HSA cards if you would like to use electronic payment.
How does counseling work?
The primary goal for the initial consultation session is for the therapist to listen to your concerns to determine if working together would be a good fit. Based on the information you provide, Your therapist will make recommendations for the focus, frequency, and length of counseling.
The strategies and approaches used during counseling will be determined by your specific goals. Examples of goals in counseling may be:
- Decrease feelings of anxiety and unwanted thoughts or behaviors
- Increase self-acceptance and self-confidence
- Create and establish healthy boundaries in relationships
- Increase ability to communicate in a healthy way
- Explore and heal underlying issues
- Grow spiritually
Counseling continues until you believe you have met your goals for the time being. No matter what brings you to counseling, most people walk away feeling more secure, free, and supported as a result.
