Leasha J Strang Lscsw C-dbt

Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker & Owner

Adults, Couples, Families, & Teens

I have small-town values that many of my clients appreciate. My experience as a former police officer and combat veteran allows me to relate to members of the military, first responders, and their families. In my therapeutic practice, I blend psychodynamic and attachment theories with a common-sense approach to treatment.

As a therapist, I strive to create an environment where clients can feel safe to discover healthy perceptions of themselves to experience transformation, wholeness, and peace. This is the path whether you’re struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, or any other symptoms- you will learn that you are not defined by a diagnosis.

In addition to my work with individuals, I help couples untangle their miscommunications and conflicts to regain the understanding, love, attraction, and respect that first drew them together. This often involves an examination of each person’s attachment style and method of giving and receiving messages of love.

As a foster parent, I have experience navigating the foster care system by advocating for youth to ensure that they have all the resources and accommodations that they need to flourish. In my work with families, I strive to help parents and children repair or re-establish essential healthy parent-child attachments. I assist parents in building a commonsense household structure to regain a sense of calm and order, with respect and love for each family member.
