Sophie Landauer, Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Practicum Student
Sophie is dedicated to creating a safe, empathetic, and empowering space for individuals seeking mental health support. Her approach is grounded in authentic connection, kindness, and respect. With a strong clinical foundation, she specializes in working with teens, young adults, and families, particularly in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care.
Throughout her professional journey, Sophie has gained invaluable insight into complex emotional and behavioral challenges through roles as a Multisystemic Therapist, Case Manager, Wraparound Facilitator, and Mental Health Specialist. She utilizes a person-centered approach that emphasizes neuropsychological and trauma-informed practices to craft individualized interventions. Sophie is also committed to ongoing professional development, integrating brain-informed neurological strategies into her work to support lasting change.
Enhancing her practice are her professional therapy dogs: Mr. Parker, a seven-year-old German Shepherd certified through CARES Inc., and Lucy, a Great Dane puppy currently in training. Mr. Parker and Lucy are able to provide additional comfort and therapeutic support during sessions if clinically needed.
Sophie earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Fort Hays State University and is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Bellevue University, with an anticipated graduation in December 2026
