Licensed Master Social Worker
Mental Health has been my passion for many years. From writing my first term paper on mental health in the 6th grade to completing my Graduate Practicum at a Community Mental Health Center, Mental Health matters to me. My Professional experiences range from Community Mental Health, to being a Camp Counselor at Operation: Kids Camp for the Kansas National Guard to Hospice Social Work to working as a Therapist at a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility and Geriatric Behavioral Health. My experiences include working with people ages 6 to 96.
My therapeutic approaches include Solution Focused Brief therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Grief Counseling, Family Systems and Narrative Therapy.
I work with all ages of individuals including children, teenagers, adults, couples and families to bring healing to people who are experiencing stress, grief, trauma or other life challenges. Using a strength perspective approach my goal is to help people develop the tools needed to be successful during and beyond therapy.
I’ve lived in Salina for 28 years, raised my family here and have had unique opportunities serving Seniors, youth, children and families in Salina and surrounding communities. I look forward to working with you to meet your therapeutic goals and to live the Oasis Counseling Services Mission “to encourage , restore, and equip people so they may experience transformation, wholeness and peace.”
